Mount Langi Ghiran 2018 Cliff Edge Shiraz

by The Cheeky Vino

I hadn’t tried Grampians wine until recently but now I am in love after trying some of the wines from Made the Grampians Way. Not only does this wine portal offer some great mixed packs, but you’ll also find information about the region and its history to help you learn more about this incredible wine region.

Recently we enjoyed the Mount Langi Ghiran 2018 Cliff Edge Shiraz and it was so delicious. The grapes were sourced from a selection of blocks across the historic Mount Langi Ghiran vineyard, where the combination of cool climates, old vines and granite sands produce wines with great intensity.

The colour of this wine is a vivid purple and in the glass, I got aromas of mixed spice along with blackberry and raspberry. Flavour-wise this wine was long and lingering in its finish with a really nice balance and texture. I loved the flavours of cherry and blackberry in this wine balanced out by a hint of oak and savoury notes.

This wine is drinking beautifully now and makes a perfect food wine. Check it out and the other great mixed packs from Made the Grampians way now.
