Wine review: 3 Rings Cabernet Sauvignon

I’m always on the hunt for tasty midweek wines that don’t break the bank, and the 3 Rings Cabernet Sauvignon definitely ticked the boxes. It’s affordable and simply tasty, delivering everything you want from a midweek wine. Pair it with a steak or even a burger and you’ve got a winning combo.

On the nose, the 3 Rings Cabernet Sauvignon is packed full of blueberries and blackcurrant along with a nice hint of a mint that doesn’t overpower. This follows through into the palate which has nicely integrated oak and fine-grained tannins. Lively acidity rounds off the nicely balanced palate. And at $20 a bottle, there’s nothing to complain about!

About 3 Rings Barossa Valley

With more than half a century of grape-growing expertise and an even longer history in wine, the renowned Hickinbotham family has been crafting 3 Rings since 2004. They wanted to showcase the best of the Barossa Valley with their wines.

The name 3 Rings comes from the ancient trick; the sum of the interlocked parts far outweighs the individual elements. If any single ring is removed, the two remaining rings will fall apart, but there is power in unity. They see the trinity and perfect harmony of past, present and future in each distinct vintage.

You can find out more about 3 Rings on their website. This wine is also available at major retailers.
