Wine review: The Hidden Sea GSM 2021
I was recently sent the latest releases from the Hidden Sea and I had to share my review of The Hidden Sea GSM 2021 once again. I recently hosted a blind wine tasting and threw this one in the mix. It ended up being everyone’s favourite! If that isn’t reason enough to try this wine for yourself, then how about the incredible work that the Hidden Sea is doing in removing plastic from the ocean. Every bottle helps them reach their goal of cleaning up 1 billion plastic bottles from the ocean by 2030.
But let’s jump into the wine itself. The Hidden Sea GSM 2021 is absolutely perfect for BBQs with friends, or even as a weeknight wine. At under $20 a bottle, it is perfect for enjoying with friends, and has a striking label too! This blend of Grenache, Shiraz and Malbec is full-bodied but drinks lighter than it is. Notes of strawberry and cherry come together and are balanced by lovely sweet spice. Each sip reveals a really nice depth of flavour in this succulent and juicy wine.
The Hidden Sea GSM 2021 is the kind of wine you don’t need to think too much about. It’s simply tasty from start to finish. And with such a nice mission behind it, it’s hard not to love this wine.
