Z Wine Aveline Rosé

by The Cheeky Vino

I’ve got serious holiday blues, but thank goodness for wine to get me through! And now it’s the weekend so there’s a reason to celebrate! I can’t think of a better way to do so than with a glass of Rosé in hand. I’ve really been enjoying the wines from Z Wine and you best believe when I saw the Z Wine Aveline Rosé 2021 I was beyond excited to try it!

Janelle and Kristen Zerk are fifth-generation Barossans and are the only sister duo in the Barossa Valley who produce, own and operate their business. Talk about girl power! Especially when they’ve cleaned up awards from James Halliday, including their Shiraz coming third against Grange in the 2018 WINESTATE International Shiraz Challenge!

The Z Wine Aveline Rosé 2021 is a unique blend of Shiraz, Bonvedro and Grenache, producing a wine with a beautifully vibrant pink hue.

On the nose, I got strawberry, raspberry and cherry. This followed through to the palate which had a lovely balance between these red fruit flavours and savoury spice. It is the kind of wine that you can enjoy with or without food, with enough oomph to be paired with a light meal (or a cheese platter – my personal pick).

I really loved this unique Rosé for something different to the usual blend. It was so interesting trying a new blend and this wine was polished off all too quickly. The sign of good wine if you ask me!
