Wine review: Denton View Hill Rosé 2025

There’s a new rosé in the mix, and it’s one worth getting excited about. The Denton View Hill Rosé 2025 is not your average warm-weather sipper; this is a rosé with real character and presence. If you love a rosé that delivers something to sink your teeth into, this is the one. It’s deep and bright in the glass, a rich salmon hue that hints at what’s to come. The nose is generous and layered, with strawberries, raspberries, poached pear, blood orange, with a floral rosehip quality lifting everything and keeping it fresh.

On the palate, the Denton View Hill Rosé 2025 is dense, juicy, and textural in the best possible way, made from equal parts Nebbiolo, Syrah, and Cabernet. The fruit is richly packed, with spice woven through a gently textured mid-palate that builds beautifully as it opens up. It finishes long and flavoursome with just a touch of Nebbiolo grip that lingers in all the right ways. Whether you’re pairing it with a long lunch, a charcuterie board, or simply the end of a good day, it’s a rosé that drinks like it means it.

About Denton Wine

Perched on a landscape shaped by the push and pull of weather and geology, Denton Wine is a place that rewards patience, persistence, and a good sense of humour. Since the Denton family planted their first vines in 1997, the hill has been home to a vision that stretches far beyond its slopes—a legacy of care, curiosity, and commitment. In 2024, the Bishop family quietly stepped in to continue that work, bringing with them a calm, deliberate approach and an even broader vision for the future. Scott Bishop and his family of six (plus two dogs) call View Hill home, supported by Kirilly Gordon in the winery and Julian Parrott in the vineyard, a small, slightly crew-driven by a very long to-do list and a shared love for the craft.

At Denton Wine, making wine is an exercise in translation: helping the vineyard find its voice through restraint, patience, and a deep respect for the site. Every decision—from picking to pressing, guiding to standing back—is grounded in trust: in the vineyard, the season, and each other. It’s a methodical, site-driven approach where discipline and intention create wines that are quietly powerful, expressive, and entirely of their place.
