The Paxton 2020 Rosé is a beautiful wine that is perfect for summer meals. It’s flavourful with a fruit-forward palate and a nice crisp finish. Bright raspberry, cherries and strawberries are perfectly balanced by minerality, making this wine oh so refreshing! Enjoy with light pasta or even a white-based pizza!
Over the weekend we were in Melbourne and it was a little bit chilly! So when I came back to Brisbane and found myself in our Autumn cooler weather, I thought it was a perfect time to share this beautiful Rosé with you all! The Paxton 2020 Rosé was sent to me as part of the Keto Wines pack, and I was so excited to try it. I brought this one out for my sister’s birthday. She doesn’t drink a lot of wine but loves it when they are Organic, so I thought this one would be right up her alley.
I’m all for enjoying all wines, but some aren’t able to because it causes a bad reaction when they drink it. Thankfully Keto Wines has taken the guesswork out of finding wines with confidence. They are the only low sugar – under 0.25g/glass, Low sulphur – under 95ppm/l Curated Wine Delivery in Australia and offer wines that have been lab-tested and approved to fit within this.

What I loved about the Paxton 2020 Rosé
The Paxton 2020 Rosé is made using Shiraz and Grenache grapes using the Paxton ‘smart farming’ program that focuses on soil health and biodiversity. The wine was made for being crisp, full of flavour and refreshing, and I think it ticks all these boxes!
This Rosé was a really beautiful food wine that is perfect as a lighter option with meals. I found the wine to be quite fragrant with floral aromas, cherries and fresh raspberries. This came through in the palate which was very fruit-driven and bright. Those raspberries came through again along with some strawberry.
What I loved about this wine was that it was quite fruit-forward but had a nice minerality at the back and a crisp acidity to finish it off. This balanced out the fruitiness in the wine and gave it the perfect amount of acidity to make it oh-so refreshing.
What to enjoy it with
The Paxton 2020 Rosé is made for warmer weather and would be the perfect option for enjoying alongside a Summer meal. It’s always warm weather here in Brisbane so I can definitely see myself enjoying this all year round! Because this wine is quite flavourful I think it pairs beautifully with food, unlike some Rosé that is too light for meals and best enjoyed on its own.
In terms of food pairing, I think this wine would pair beautifully with a wide range of Summer foods. But I can definitely see myself enjoying this wine with a nice pasta dish. Think lighter, oil-based pasta sauces and a glass of this wine. I don’t think it could get much better than that! You could also pair this with risotto as long as it wasn’t too rich, or even a white-based pizza!
In summary: Paxton 2020 Rosé
The Paxton 2020 Rosé is perfect for enjoying over a good Summer meal. It is flavourful and bright with a fruit-forward palate and crisp finish. Expect flavours of raspberry, strawberry and floral aromas all wrapped up in a beautifully balanced wine. The fruit characters really shine through in this beautiful Rosé, and you can enjoy it knowing that it has minimal Sulphur and low sugar too! Sounds like a good excuse to sip on another glass if you ask me!
