Wine review: Zilzie Wines Liv Lighter Rosé
The Zilzie Wines Liv Lighter Rosé is the perfect wine to enjoy as we get into the warmer months. With lower alcohol compared to typical wine, it is perfect for those times when you want something lighter. Or if you are heading out on a picnic or a long lunch as a lighter option! Enjoy the wine on its own, or pair it with light spring and summer meals like grilled chicken or salads.
The Zilzie Wines Liv Lighter Rosé is only 9% ABV with a blend of Shiraz and Sangiovese bringing plenty of flavour to this delightful Rosé. Despite the lower alcohol, this Rosé is refreshingly dry in its flavour profile with a lovely crisp finish. Notes of strawberries and a hint of floral are on the nose, and the strawberry dominates the flavour profile with a nice minerality to balance it out. This Rosé is nice and refreshing, and perfect for those looking for a low alcohol alternative to be their new Summer favourite! At under $20 a bottle, it’s also affordable too!

Recently shortlisted in the 2023 Halliday Dark Horse Winery of the Year, Zilzie Wines come from consistent dedication and tireless work for four generations.
Their story starts in the early 1900s when their ancestors moved from Scotland to Australia, making their way to a farming community 20km south of Mildura. The name Zilzie comes from their family’s Scottish heritage and was the name given to the first home built on the property. For the family, the winery is a living, breathing entity representing years of passion and unity. They want to create the best possible wines from different regions of Australia for those special moments in life.
The Zilzie Wines Liv Lighter range contains four wines that are designed to be lighter in alcohol and calories whilst still being full of flavour. These wines are perfect for those days when you want something with less alcohol in it to sip on. They range from only 9-9.5%, and there is a variety for everyone to enjoy whether you like white, red or rosé!
