Rosé all day is in full swing and you best believe I am here for it! I was sent a few of the Wild Fox Wines to try (read my Chardonnay review here) and you best believe I had my eye on the Wild Fox Wines 2020 Rosé.
Wild Fox Wines produces wines that are organic, biodynamic, with minimal preservatives and vegan-friendly. Originally established along the historical Gawler River in the Adelaide Plains, South Australia, Wild Fox gained organic certification in 1998 out of a respect for health and the environment.
Founded by the late Terry Markou, he named it after the village his father came from in Greece called Agrelopo, which translates to Wild Fox. Wild Fox Wines is still run by the family, and they focus on wines that are fruit-driven, soft and generally lower in alcohol at everyday prices.
The Wild Fox Wines 2020 Rosé is under $20 a bottle. This is a great price for organic and seriously delicious wine! I love finding wines that don’t break the bank. Particularly in Spring as the social season starts to pick up! It’s also only 10.5% ABV so a great choice for picnics.
The Wild Fox Wines 2020 Rosé is a beautiful colour that reminded me of a Provence style. On the nose, I got raspberry and a hint of nuttiness. The palate was absolutely stunning – soft and light with strawberry and raspberry and a nice acidic kick to round it all off. This wine is refreshing and oh so drinkable.
I don’t think you need to pair this with anything. It is a great wine for enjoying as the weather heats up and at this price point you can’t go wrong!
