Wine review: Saltire Estate Prosecco

It’s almost the end of January but the temperatures are soaring here in Queensland. So I’ve been on the hunt for plenty of thirst-quenching wines, and the Saltire Estate Prosecco is the perfect one for the job. Using grapes from the King Valley arguably the home of Prosecco in Australia, this wine is simply delicious. I can’t think of anything better than popping open a bottle of this wine with some friends over a cheese board, or even on its own. That’s the great thing about Prosecco: it’s a crowd-pleaser that you don’t need an excuse to open.

The Saltire Estate Prosecco has all the flavours you know and love from traditional prosecco all wrapped up in a super refreshing and delicious drop. Notes of lemon, pear and apple come together in the aroma and follow through into the palate which has the perfect amount of acidity to make these bubbles oh-so refreshing. It’s crisp, zippy and thirst-quenching. And I can’t think of anything better to enjoy on a hot day with friends!
