Wine review: Pike & Joyce Ceder Riesling
I’ve really been enjoying Riesling lately. I couldn’t tell you what’s changed or why, but here we are in a bit of a Riesling era. And I’m totally ok with it, especially when I am discovering delicious wines like the Pike & Joyce Ceder Riesling. This wine is so crisp, refreshing and simply delicious. It’s got plenty to unpack all wrapped up in a nicely balanced and bright wine. I mean, what more could you want from a nice, crisp Riesling? Pair it alongside fish or chicken and you have a winning combo.
On the nose, the Pike & Joyce Ceder Riesling is nicely aromatic with plenty to unpack. I love the play between green apple, floral notes and a slight hint of musk – a winning combo I didn’t know I needed. The palate bursts with green apple and lemon with delicious crunchy acidity. It’s bright and balanced with a hint of minerality on the finish, alongside lovely refreshing crispness. This wine is simply a joy to sip on and is sure to hit the spot if you’re after something refreshing.
