Wine review: Clandestine Vineyards Pinot Grigio 2022

Recently I was sent a few wines from Clandestine Vineyard’s latest release to sample and it was hard to know where to start. I have been a fan of these wines for a while now, and so checking out the latest vintage is a treat! It’s been really hot still in Brisbane despite Autumn being upon us, so I figured the Clandestine Vineyards Pinot Grigio 2022 was the best spot to start to help soak up the last of Summer heat. Pinot Grigio is so good in warmer weather for pairing with light meals with its crisp and refreshing notes, and this wine delivers that and more.

The Clandestine Vineyards Pinot Grigio 2022 is beautifully light and easy drinking. Notes of lemon, apple and pear come together in the aroma. These notes follow through into the palate which is clean and crisp with the perfect amount of acidity to make this wine oh-so refreshing. It’s the kind of wine packed full of freshness that quenches your thirst. It expresses the fruit notes beautifully in a lovely light wine. Pair it with grilled chicken and salad and you have the perfect Summer meal.

About Clandestine Vineyards

Clandestine Vineyards’ focus is to represent 100% varietal wines from single vineyard sites across the best sub-regions for those varietals. Growers are chosen for best organic vineyard practices, zero harmful pesticides/herbicides and commitment to sustainability.

Coordinating 14 separate vineyards, two winemakers and two processing facilities across two states (WA and SA) is no easy task, especially in a pandemic, but Clandestine Vineyards takes it in their stride to produce incredible wines based on longstanding relationships and the founders, Nick and Trudy’s, vision for every vintage.

You can purchase this wine from Clandestine Vineyards website.

Note: This wine was sent as a sample. I was under no obligation to post about it.
