Will you accept this prosecco?

by The Cheeky Vino
  • The occasion: Bachelor finale
  • First impression: Tastes like love
  • You’ll enjoy it if: You enjoy a prosecco that isn’t too dry

I have to admit, I am an avid watcher of the Bachelor. I know, I know, but I just can’t help myself! It’s enjoyable to watch, and I love nothing more than having friends around during the week to watch it over a glass of wine. Or talking about it the next day at work. I guess in a way it is sort of like sport except I don’t enjoy watching the football like I enjoy watching 24 girls try to find love with one man.

So the finale was on last night, and I decided what better way to celebrate than to open a bottle of the prosecco they’ve been sipping on all season. I noticed that they were drinking this brand of prosecco throughout the season, and I even had a few friends commented about it because it is one I regularly enjoy myself.

The prosecco the Honey Badger chooses

The prosecco you’ll glance across the Nick Cummins’ season of the bachelor is the Dal Zotto Pucino Prosecco. This prosecco is one I’ve had a few times because I enjoy prosecco from the King Valley in Victoria. These hard are sometimes hard to find in your chain bottle store, but this one is everywhere. Lucky for us!

Unlike the shocking Bachelor finale, this prosecco didn’t leave me feeling disappointed or heart-broken. In fact, this bottle of prosecco should probably try to be the next bachelor because I’m sure it would have many takers! I certainly felt true love when I had my first sip, I’m sure of it!

Why I loved it

Where to start with this prosecco? Well don’t expect to pop open the bottle with a cork, because this prosecco needs a bottle opener. But if you can make it past this and get over the fact you don’t have to wrestle with a cork, this prosecco is absolutely delicious.

The best part about this prosecco is the flavour. It is nice and zesty with a real zing on the tongue. Although the flavour doesn’t linger, you get a real pop of freshness with every sip. This is a problem because it keeps you coming back for more, and somehow you’re left in the middle of the Bachelor finale with an empty bottle of prosecco – what’s a girl to do? I should have bought two bottles!

What to enjoy it with

This prosecco is perfect as an aperitiv before dinner because of the freshness and zing in the flavour. Definitely perfect on its own without a need for any food pairings, just a nice summer sunset.

We enjoyed this prosecco with a dose of the drama of the Bachelor and some delicious coconut curry. It actually pairs really well with spicy food due to the freshness, so if you want to find a prosecco you can eat a meal with this one will work. However it would go just as well with some pre-dinner meats and cheeses.

Final verdict

I can say with confidence that this delightful prosecco won’t break your heart, unlike the Bachelor. Even if you aren’t a Bachelor fan, you can still find some common ground with this delicious prosecco from King Valley. Dal Zotto is on to a good thing, and I have to say their product placement on the show definitely worked on me! That being said, I was already head over heals for this one.
