It can be hard to work out where to go while you are on a trip, or even in your local area for good food and wine. Lucky for us we have a great app to take the guesswork out of figuring out where to go! The Gourmakers App is an Australian Gourmet Travel app that makes it easier for you to find Australia’s Best Wineries, Distilleries and Gourmet Food Venues.
What I love about the Gourmakers app is that you don’t need to search around on Google to find the information you need. The app has all the useful information about each venue, including important details like opening hours, accessibility and dining options.
The app also makes it easy to discover new venues. You can search for individual spots, or use one of their Gourmet trails which maps out a day trip for you! I love this option as you don’t need to think about how to order the venues we visited – the app gives you the most efficient route! It also means that you can find new spots to discover whether you are in your home state or on a holiday. There is a great selection of venues and gourmet trails throughout Australia to discover.
If you don’t want to use a Gourmet trail, you can also search, discover and save gourmet venues to visit yourself and create your own trip all in the app! You can create shortlists too and save the venues that you love so you can share them with friends.
While we were in the Barossa Valley, I tried out the Gourmakers app using one of their great Gourmet trails. As it was our first time in the area, it was a great way to find hidden gems along the way! It allowed us to discover new places to eat and wineries to visit, all within a dedicated food trail that made the most of our time. I loved that it had a trail ready to go which made the most efficient use of our time. It meant we weren’t jumping from one place to another.
