Wine review: Orlando Wines Lyndale Chardonnay
If you’ve been following along for a while now, you know we love a Chardonnay in our household. So when I was sent the Orlando Wines Lyndale Chardonnay to try, I was pretty excited to crack it open. Now I love a balanced Chardonnay, and this one to me delivered a bit of everything that I wanted and more. It has lovely fruit notes but a beautiful texture with seamless integration of oak characteristics. It’s not too creamy, but also not too mineral or fruity. As Goldilocks would say, this wine is just right.
On the nose, the Orlando Wines Lyndale Chardonnay has lovely notes of peach, lemon and a hint of nuttiness. This carries on to the palate which has lovely notes of minerality alongside a hint of creaminess from the oak. Just enough to give it a beautiful texture and mouthfeel that complements and balances the fruit. This wine is complex yet wonderfully balanced, with plenty of layers to unpack. You’ll enjoy every sip as you uncover it over a nice meal!
