Wine review: Zilzie Wines Prosecco Rosé

Prosecco Rosé has been getting more and more popular since it became legal to produce a couple of years ago by Italian law. Lucky for us, here in Australia producers are also jumping on this to produce Australian versions for us to enjoy. Prosecco is a great option for enjoying in the warmer months with friends, and I’m always on the hunt for affordable and tasty options. So when I was sent the Zilzie Wines Prosecco Rosé I was excited to pop it open. At $15 this wine isn’t going to break the bank, and it is super crisp and refreshing.

The Zilzie Wines Prosecco Rosé is a lovely delicate pale pink from the addition of a hint of Shiraz to the Glera. It has notes of lemon, raspberry and blossoms on the nose. The palate itself is beautifully crisp, light and refreshing with green apple, raspberry and lemon. It’s simply tasty and refreshing, and with a group of friends, I don’t know what could be more perfect! It’s the sort of bottle of bubbles you don’t need to think twice about popping open on a hot Summer’s day. Simply fun, tasty and fresh!
