Wild Fox Wines 2019 Chardonnay

The Wild Fox Wines 2019 Chardonnay is a simply tasty wine that delivers on flavour and price point. It’s balanced whilst being juicy and creamy with a crisp finish. Perfect for a relaxing night in with a cheese plate, at this price point you don’t have to think twice about enjoying this wine! 

My husband and I love Chardonnay – it is probably up there as one of my favourite white wine varieties. I love how versatile it is in its flavours and how you get such a vast array of styles. Every bottle is different! So when I was sent the Wild Fox Wines Chardonnay to try I could hardly contain my excitement!⁠

I hadn’t heard of Wild Fox Wines before but absolutely love their affordable price point for Organic wines. And their new look labels are really eye-catching and very cute! They had some great wines to try but I decided the Chardonnay was the perfect place to start. And it was so good that I simply had to share what I thought about it.

About Wild Fox Wines

Wild Fox Wines produces wines that are organic, biodynamic, with minimal preservatives and vegan-friendly. Originally established along the historical Gawler River in the Adelaide Plains, South Australia, Wild Fox gained organic certification in 1998 out of a respect for health and the environment. ⁠

Founded by the late Terry Markou, he named it after the village his father came from in Greece called Agrelopo, which translates to Wild Fox. Wild Fox Wines is still run by the family, and they focus on wines that are fruit-driven, soft and generally lower in alcohol at everyday prices.⁠

What I loved about the Wild Fox Wines 2019 Chardonnay

The Wild Fox Wines 2019 Chardonnay seriously delivers on flavour. When I first smelt the wine I got beautiful notes of white peach and nectarine with toasty oak and a hint of vanilla. These played through into the palate which rounded off with a nicely balanced hit of acidic freshness to give it a good backbone and length. Each sip of this wine brought more to unpack and discover. ⁠

This wine is seriously affordable at under $20 a bottle for organic and balanced wine. It can be hard to know what you’re going to get in the glass at this price point. It’s great to know you can get some serious quality and delicious wine without it costing a fortune. This wine is the kind of wine that’s perfect for cracking open for those moments where you just want wine. It would be perfect for a midweek wine or do as we did and open it while you’re enjoying a board game or two!

What to enjoy it with

The Wild Fox Wines 2019 Chardonnay is nice and balanced and so I think it could be enjoyed with or without food. But honestly, you cannot go wrong with pairing this wine with a cheeseboard. This is what we did over a board game and it was magical. Something about a good Chardonnay and cheese is just a match made in heaven!

If you’re looking to pair it with a meal you definitely still can! Think roast chicken or risotto and you would be on to a winner!

The Wild Fox Wines 2019 Chardonnay is a delicious wine at an affordable price point. You can’t really go wrong with an organic wine that is easy drinking deliciousness under $20. Enjoy with or without food, but my suggestion has to be cheese. For this price point this wine seriously delivers on flavour and is the perfect accompaniment to an relaxed night on the couch.
