Wine review: Tribus Wines Sand Block Grenache 2023
It’s been a little while since I’ve had a Barossa Grenache, so I was pretty excited to get the opportunity to try the Tribus Wines Sand Block Grenache 2023. And it certainly didn’t disappoint, reminding me that I really should be drinking more Grenache! This wine is the perfect crowd-pleaser especially now that we head into the cooler months. It’s the sort of wine that will be right at home with a nice big bowl of pasta.
On the nose, the Tribus Wines Sand Block Grenache 2023 is packed full of fruity notes. Think red berries like strawberry and raspberry. These red fruit notes follow into the palate which has a lovely generous spice of cinnamon and cloves that balances out the fruity notes in the wine. The flavours dance across the palate and paired with a lovely, smooth texture, it is a taste sensation. It’s got just the right amount of tannins for pairing with food, but not so much that they dominate. It’s the kind of wine that is sure to be a crowd favourite!
