Looking to expand your horizons beyond Shiraz and Cab Sav this winter? Let me introduce you to the Susuro Octopus Montepulciano 2020. It’s big and bold with intense flavours making it perfect for winter sipping. But it offers something a little different to try from Australian wine. I can’t think of a better night in than a big bowl of beef ragu pasta and a big glass of this vibrant Montepulciano.
On the nose, the Susuro Octopus Montepulciano 2020 has notes of plum and blackberry along with a nice spice. This follows through into the palate which has a really nice balance between intense fruity notes and earthiness from bay leaf and mocha. The combination of fruit and spice is seriously delicious. This wine is vibrant and intense, big and bold, yet beautifully balanced. Simply delicious – there’s not a lot left to say!
