The Pipers Tasmania Pinot Noir 2020 is a seriously delicious Pinot Noir that transported me back to our honeymoon. It is elegant yet expressive – packed full of red berry fruit characteristics along with a subtle spice and soft, silky tannins to round it out.
Who loves a good Tasmanian Pinot? I’ve been craving them since coming back from our honeymoon, and now that the weather is starting to heat up I want them even more! Thankfully I was sent a few of the Pipers Tasmania wines to try and I couldn’t contain my excitement. Their new look labels have me doing serious love-heart-eye emojis and then I tasted them and my gosh! I was blown away!

What I loved about the Pipers Tasmania Pinot Noir 2020
The Pipers Tasmania Pinot Noir 2020 is a seriously good Pinot at an affordable price. It has a bright ruby colour in the glass which I have to admit made me think it was going to be really fruity and juicy. But this wine really surprised me with its dry profile. It had enough fruit upfront but refreshing crisp acidity on the finish. It wasn’t too overpowering with juicy fruit yet still super refreshing.
What I loved so much about this wine was the balance. It was full of lush aromas of blackberry and cherry balanced by spice and oak characters. This paired with fine tannins and a nice long finish made this wine a serious taste sensation. It’s the kind of wine you want to keep going back to for more. And at under $30 a bottle, it is the kind of wine I could see becoming one of my Summer red staples!
What to enjoy it with
The Pipers Tasmania Pinot Noir 2020 is the perfect red for warmer weather. We enjoyed it slightly chilled and it was absolutely delicious! It’s the kind of wine I could definitely see myself enjoying on warm Summer nights when I feel like a red wine but don’t want anything too heavy. It’s also a great crowd-pleasing wine so would be a perfect one to bring along to a dinner party.
What I love about this wine is that it lends itself to being enjoyed with or without food. You could enjoy it with a lighter meal or on its own to cool down. This wine could be paired with anything from roast chicken to pasta to grilled salmon. Otherwise, it would also go nicely with a nice charcuterie board.
