My Favourites Rosé subscription: so you can #roseallday

by The Cheeky Vino

This week I got a delivery that made me one very happy lady. If you’ve been reading The Cheeky Vino for a while, you’ll know I am obsessed with Rosé. I mean I love all wine, don’t get me wrong. But there is something about Rosé that makes it so special. I think it’s how variable it is. Off to a midday lunch? Rosé is perfect. Sipping in the afternoon with friends? Yep, grab a Rosé. Feel like red wine but you’re eating something light? Rosé will sort you out! I can sip it all-year-round, and that’s why I am loving the My Favourites Rosé subscription.

The team at Cellarmasters have created this great new subscription service, My Favourites, for lovers of wine, no matter what your taste. Depending on your favourite type of wine, you can get a mixed case delivered to your door three times a year with three different wines. So you can explore your favourite variety without having to even think about heading to the bottle store! One of these subscriptions is Rosé focused and I am all there for it!

The My Favourites Rosé subscription is such good value and takes the guesswork out of buying wine. This week I had 13 bottles of Rosé (12 but one was a bonus) delivered to my door without having to deliberate at the bottle store. Cellarmasters chose the curated, quality wines for me, giving me more time to enjoy the variety. It meant it was a surprise opening the box and seeing what was inside. Sort of like opening presents at Christmas, but better because I’ll get more in March and October!

Why I love it

My Favourites Rosé subscription: so you can #roseallday

The great thing about the My Favourites Rosé subscription service is that it takes the worry out of picking wine. You can trust that Cellarmasters will pick some killer wines to include, and you’ll get great Rosé without having to think about it. No more standing at the cold fridge trying to work out which wine is going to taste the best! I know sometimes it can be hard to know which Rosé to buy, so it’s great to have the guesswork taken out of buying it!

The thing I also love is that you get more than one bottle of the same wine. I am a wine hoarder, and so I’ll often hold on to wines if I only have one. What if it’s really good and I never get to drink it again? Luckily with the My Favourites Rosé subscription, you get 3 different bottles of wine but four of each. So if you love one of them, or all three, you can rest assured you have three more bottles where that came from.

Having this much Rosé on hand has set me up for summer. Now I can sip Rosé whenever I feel like it, and share it with friends when they pop over for Christmas celebrations. It takes the panic out of entertaining knowing that you’ve got some delicious Rosé on hand to crack open. Because one should always have Rosé in the fridge!

The wines from the December box

I absolutely loved the wines from the December box. There was a great variety of styles and flavours, as well as regions. It meant you could try a few different styles and see what your favourite was. It also meant you had a few different wines on hand i.e. some for sipping before dinner, and some that are perfect with food.

The great thing about the My Favourites Rosé subscription is that you get different wines each time too – so you’ll get a good range of wines throughout the year.

The highlights from the wines this delivery:

  • Jim Barry JB Clare Valley Rosé 2018 – From the James Halliday winery of the year 2020, this wine is upfront with its fruit with a hint of savoury spice at the end. It’s got a refreshing acidity and the colour, coming from the 100% Grenache grapes, is to die for!
  • Fedele Organic Rosé 2018 – All the way from Trapani, Italy, this Rosé is lively and vibrant. More on the fruity side, this wine is perfect for aperitivo! Plus it’s Organic so that means it’s good for you, right?
  • Krondorf Growers Barossa Grenache Rosé 2019 – This is a Rosé with a bit of cellaring potential on it, but is still drinking well now. This wine I found a bit softer on its flavours, lighter and all too easy to drink!
  • Bonus Black Wattle Rosé Cuvee 2018 – I loved this cute little bottle that came along as a bonus! Its crisp acidity and berry fruits were absolutely delicious

How to get on the My Favourites Rosé subscription

If you’re keen to check out this subscription, you can sign up on the Cellarmasters website. Each box is $155.88 (with free delivery) and there are three deliveries over the year – March, October and December. That’s only $12.99 a bottle, which is much more affordable than popping down to the bottle store. The deliveries are automatic but they give you heaps of notifications which I honestly loved – it meant I knew exactly when my wine would arrive. You can also pause, cancel and skip at any time.

The box itself comes with 12 wines, and the December one came with a bonus wine too! It also comes with information about each wine, tasting notes and food pairings. I loved these extra details about the wines and it was nice to read the stories behind what I was drinking.
