Wine review: Little Ripples Chardonnay
If you are looking for a delicious wine that you can enjoy that also does good, look no further than the Little Ripples Chardonnay. Not only will this wine hit the spot if you’re after a refreshing drop, but for every bottle sold, Little Ripples gives one year of clean water to 1 person in a developing community. So you can sip and get the warm fuzzies all in one!
I know what you’re thinking though: Ella, that’s all well and good, but how’s the wine? Well, let me tell you this Chardonnay is simply delicious. If you love oaked Chardonnay like my husband, this might not hit the spot for you. However, if you prefer your Chardonnay with the fruit shining through, the Little Ripples Chardonnay is definitely one to check out. On the nose, it is packed full of lemon, pear and melon. This follows through into the palate which is packed with fruit and zippy vibrancy. It has just a hint of hazelnut richness which rounds out the acidity and balances the wine nicely. Overall, it is a tasty drop that is affordable for us, and does a lot of good!
About Little Ripples
Little Ripples is multi-regional, sourcing the best fruit from across Australia to produce premium and accessible wines for everyone to enjoy. But beyond producing beautiful wines, they have a goal to provide 5 million people with clean drinking water within the next 10 years. Together with their charity partner, the BridgeIT Water Foundation, they identify communities most in need, facilitate the construction or repair of a water well and implement a strategy to maintain and manage the well for at least 10 years.
They fund this through their wine: for every bottle sold, they provide one person in need with water for a year. Purchases have already enabled the construction of 19 water wells, providing the equivalent of 210,000 people with one year of fresh, clean water.
You can purchase this wine from The Little Ripples website.
