The Zilzie 2019 Regional Collection Malbec is perfect for those moments in between meals when you still feel like a red. It’s a great wine for enjoying with friends over a cheese platter or some antipasto or setting out with a bit of a tapas spread. It’s really just right – not too heavy, not too light. The kind of wine you don’t need to think twice about cracking open. It’s affordable, it’s tasty and it’s super approachable. What more could you want?
The colour of the Zilzie 2019 Regional Collection Malbec is bright red in the glass, with lovely aromas of toasty spice and blackberry along with a hint of floral violet. The palate is where this wine really shines. I love the dark cherry and blackberry paired with lovely peppery spice. It’s the kind of wine that is really well-rounded and simply delicious with a nice, long finish. For the price, I think this wine is good value and delivers on flavour.
