Wine review: Z Wine Eden Valley Riesling
The Z Wine Eden Valley Riesling is an absolutely delicious Riesling that pairs beautifully with seafood. It’s the kind of Riesling you could cellar for 5-15 years, but you could also enjoy it now and have a great time. It’s wonderfully aromatic with a beautifully complex yet balanced palate and a really nice length. I love the intense flavours of the palate and depth of flavour, yet the wine is also delicate too. It goes to show why the Eden Valley has made such a name for itself when it comes to Riesling.
On the nose, the Z Wine Eden Valley Riesling has notes of blossoms and citrus. It is really aromatic which is one of the things I love about it. But the palate is truly where it’s at. Notes of lemon and lime are paired with a minerality that gives it a beautiful crisp note. It’s simply a delight to enjoy from start to finish, and perfectly refreshing.
About Z Wine
Janelle and Kristen Zerk are fifth-generation Barossans and are the only sister duo in the Barossa Valley who produce, own and operate their business. Janelle is the winemaker and grew up playing and helping out in the family vineyard in the Barossa Valley, since spreading her wings to complete a dozen vintages across Australia.
