I’m not a massive white wine drinker, but I can get behind a good Pinot Grigio. Last year I got to try the Vino Intrepido Pinot Grigio and it was knock your socks off amazing. So when I got sent the latest vintage Vino Intrepido ‘Wolf in Sheep’s Clothing’ Pinot Grigio 2020 to try I was so excited to continue my love affair with this wine!
The Vino Intrepido ‘Wolf in Sheep’s Clothing’ Pinot Grigio 2020 is so much more than just another Pinot Grigio. James’ goal with this wine was to make something a bit more than your average white wine, and I think he has seriously delivered!
The wine uses fruit from Mornington – one of my personal faves! Some of the juice from the grapes was matured in Hungarian Oak, the rest in stainless steel to give the wine freshness and balance out the creaminess from the oak.
I got a taste sensation from this wine! Pears, Almond and Crisp Lemon all rolled up into one. This wine has a beautiful texture with the perfect balance between creamy and crisp. The palate is refreshing and makes the wine go down all too easy!
You could easily enjoy this wine with some light food, or just over an afternoon session with friends. At $27.99 a bottle, it is really affordable for something different!
Check out Vino Intrepido to purchase this wine and find out more.
