Who doesn’t love a wine they can sip while cleaning up the ocean? I’ve been a fan of the Hidden Sea for quite some time now and was recently sent their latest wines to try. One of the newer wines to join their range is The Hidden Sea GSM (as well as their Pinot – read the review here). I tried this wine for the first time last year and loved it, so when I received it again I couldn’t wait to dive in!
There is so much to love about this mighty wine company from the Limestone Coast. Not only are their wines delicious, but they have a mission to clean up the world’s oceans. Partnering with the ReSea project, for every case sold of this wine, they will remove the equivalent of 1 kilogram of plastic bottles from the ocean and recycle them!
The Hidden Sea GSM is absolutely delicious with a blend of Grenache, Shiraz and Malbec It is a lighter style GSM (although still on the medium-full bodied spectrum it feels lighter than it is) and has beautiful, juicy flavours. Notes of strawberries and cherries pair beautifully with spice and it has a nice, long finish.
Pairing wise I can’t think of anything more perfect than this wine and a BBQ with friends. It’s a great wine to share with those you love and spread the word of their mission to clean the oceans.
You can grab this wine and check out the other Hidden Sea wines at their website. They offer six wines for $98 (either 6 of the same or mixed) and free shipping Australia wide. Visit their website here.
