Wine review: Howard Park Flint Rock Pinot Noir
I love a good Pinot, and it’s been a while since I’ve had one from Great Southern. After covering this region a few weeks ago in my Australian wine region overviews, so I was excited to have the opportunity to try the Howard Park Flint Rock Pinot Noir. Normally I am more of a savoury Pinot lover, but I enjoyed trying a wine more on the fruitier and lighter side of Pinot for something different. If this is more of your vibe, you will love this wine!
The Howard Park Flint Rock Pinot Noir is a vibrant and bright Pinot packed full of fruity notes. On the nose, it has lovely notes of strawberry and cherry along with a hint of spice. These notes follow through into the palate which has a nice balance between the fruitiness and acidity, giving it a nice bright profile. The fruitiness is also nicely balanced with spice, and a lovely silky texture. It’s tasty from start to finish, and it would go nicely with roast pork or even grilled lamb.
