Enjoying a bottle of wine with a fish on the label on Good Friday? Very on-brand if you ask me! We have an extra-long weekend here, and I am so excited. I can’t wait to head down the coast and soak up some of the last days of this warm weather! But before I do, I wanted to share my review of this beautiful Dalfarras Pinot Grigio. I’ve really been enjoying working my way through their tasty and affordable Italian wines (read my review of their Sangiovese here), and I reckon this is the perfect crowd-pleaser for a long weekend!
Dalfarras is a celebration of wine, art and family. A creative union between Alister and Rosa Purbrick and their eldest child, Hayley Purbrick. Rosa Purbrick brings her passion for the natural landscape into her works and vibrant energy to the Dalfarras labels. Alister Purbrick is the 4th generation of the Purbrick family at Tahbilk and adds his wine-making touch to the Italian and Spanish inspired wines. Their daughter Hayley, who is passionate about the environment is making sure the wines are modern yet environmentally friendly carbon neutral wines.
The Dalfarras Pinot Grigio is simply easy drinking, and ticks all the boxes that you’d want a Pinot Grigio to. It is a perfect Italian style – light and refreshing. Notes of lemon, apple and nectarine with a hint of floral. What’s not to love? This wine has the perfect balance of fruit and crisp acidity that is perfect for warm-weather sipping and long lunches.
At under $20 a bottle, the Dalfarras Pinot Grigio is a great option for entertaining and would be perfectly paired with seafood or salads.
Find it at select retailers or at the Tahbilk website.
