Wine review: Adina Vineyard La Belle Helene Sémillon

The Adina Vineyard La Belle Helene Sémillon is perfect for enjoying as we move into warmer weather. It is a classic young Semillon style that delivers crisp and refreshing flavours. However, after a couple of years in the bottle (this is the 2017 vintage), it is starting to show a hint of what’s to come if it is aged. It is lovely and light which makes it perfect for enjoying on its own, or it could be enjoyed with light summer meals like seafood, chicken and salads.

The Adina Vineyard La Belle Helene Sémillon is straw in colour with a hint of herbal notes on the nose along with lemon and lime. Those classic Hunter Semillon flavours are balanced on the palate by a lovely crisp acidity that makes this wine seriously refreshing. Although it still predominately has citrus freshness, there are lovely honey notes coming through that hint ever so slightly at what is to come should you be able to wait and age this wine!
