Wine review: Adina Vineyard Cabernet Franc

Cabernet Franc isn’t a variety that you see everywhere in Australia, so when I get the opportunity to try it I always jump on it. Recently I was sent the Adina Vineyard Cabernet Franc to try and it was simply delicious. This is the kind of wine that goes so well with Summer food. Pair it with cold cured meats and antipasti or chicken dishes and you have a taste sensation. This wine is a great option for those that love drinking red in the warmer months as it pairs nicely with lighter foods.

The Adina Vineyard Cabernet Franc is a tasty food wine packed full of flavour. In the aroma, red berries dominate with cherry and raspberry along with a note of freshly cut herbs. These notes follow through into the palate which is juicy yet nicely rounded and smooth. It has a freshness on the finish with a hint of minerality that makes this wine all too easy to sip on. It’s absolutely delicious!
